The Marketing Associate provides marketing, sales, and administrative support for the Hospitality Department’s products and services. Duties include implementing general marketing strategies and supporting the sales operations through a variety of deadline oriented processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Implement web-based marketing initiatives through search engine marketing, social networking, and other electronic media.
2. Manage direct marketing campaigns to selected markets nationwide.
3. Contact and conduct initial follow ups with customer prospects.
4. Schedule meetings and meet with establishment and corporate decision makers.
5. Use Saleforce to manage marketing and sales pipelines.
6. Support company through various project-oriented work flows.
7. Coordination of marketing collateral development for direct mail and electronic campaigns
8. Support the administration of company hospitality programs.
9. Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Skill and Knowledge Requirements
1. One to three years experience in Marketing, Sales or related areas.
2. Must be detail oriented in order to manage marketing and sales processes.
3. In-depth knowledge of social networking websites including MySpace, Facebook and Twitter.
4. Must have experience in general business writing. Solid grammar and presentation skills are a must.
5. Must be able to work in an unstructured environment and manage your time in an efficient and effective manner.
6. Computer literacy and general knowledge of Microsoft Office products is essential. Microsoft Publisher knowledge is a plus.
7. Knowledge of the Hospitality industry a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related area is desired.
Other Information
Salaray: $26K to $32K and commensurate with experience

Successful candidates must be able to pass a series of general and software-specific computer literacy tests. The perferred candidate must demonstrate solid understanding of marketing and sales best practices.
